Bluebird Fiber facilitates the Bluebird Underground Data Center, a SOC 2 Type 2 certified co-location center located in Springfield, Missouri. The data center is buried 85 feet underground and encased in a solid limestone mine. We take full advantage of our underground location through our unique design which places all critical infrastructure required to run the data center underground, akin to the placement of lungs under a protective ribcage. Bluebird Fiber’s fiber optic infrastructure runs throughout the facility, giving our customer multiple network paths in and out of the data center.
